Mayonnaise

2 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch of pepper

Whisk the egg yolks with the fresh lemon juice until smooth.  While continuing to whisk, add a tablespoon of oil at a time until fully incorporated.  Add the salt and pepper, and continue to whisk until the mixture is blended.
